I’ve gotten stronger...a teeny weeny bit 💪🏼
Giving myself a slap on the back to remind myself that trusting the process and embracing the journey is all part and parcel of progress.
I finished off my 100days to Strong - No Weak Links programme this weekend and it’s safe to say I’ve gotten stronger and my links no longer feel as weak 🙌🏼
For the first time I benched 50kg @ 63kg BW which I’m really happy with. Press ups, Deadlifts, Squats, Hangs, Cardio have all marginally increased, however I think what’s most important is I feel better physically & mentally, I feel fitter & I am moving with more controlled range (I‘m hyper-mobile & controlling range is tough for me, it’s easier for me to rely on my flexibility).
As you grow older with training age PBs become harder to reach & although I love training for strength I don’t give 2 f*cks how much I can lift, I am just forever grateful that I can lift, move well, run, jump, hold, hang, pull...
I think what’s changed for me is that my workouts are never a chore, my workouts are what keep me healthy, sane and bring me JOY! Comparing that to anyone else is literally time wasted & there will always be someone out’doing you, that’s just life?!...Embrace YOUR journey, be proud of YOUR progress and YOUR progress only!
Ps- sorry for the aggressive music 😂 I needed it!!
