I make my quinoa mix with the following ingredients; - quinoa
- raisins
- coriander
- garlic powder
- black pepper
- salt
- cinnamon

Soak the (ready-to-use) quinoa along with the raisins in hot water for a few minutes. Pour out the water and season with the rest of the ingredients (use your feeling/personal taste to determine the amount) Especially the garlic powder vs cinnamon gives a surprisingly good taste 😋

Our opinion, nice concept but a definite fail!! Either the fries need to go or the tofu veggie pile referred to as a burger needs to be adjusted. 
We decided to post about this, because we felt it was important to bring up the fact, that this can happen in restaurants who want to add vegan/vegetarian meals to their menu. Sometimes they lack the knowledge, and instead of offering what could be a vegan/veggie option it turns out to be a great disappointment. And while we are on this, as some of you may have seen in our recent stories, I was also served a beef burger instead of the soy burger I had ordered. Something that took a few bites to realize as it did not initially have a strong meat flavor, not until I got to the uncooked medium rare part of it. This was quite disturbing to me considering I have not had meat in my diet for over 15 yrs, and was sick for 3 days.
Although we are happy many restaurants are now offering vegan/vegetarian options, we do feel extra care needs to be taken when including vegan/vegetarian meals in their menu.

✅ Una manera diferente de hacer empanadas, muy ricas!

➡️ Para esta masa vamos a hacer simplemente una preparación de tapas de empanadas tradicional, harina común (000 o 0000), sal, aceite y agua fría. Y le agregamos media remolacha procesada (calculando para 6 empanadas grandes). ✖️ Solo resta estirar y rellenar con lo que más te guste, acá usamos choclo (cremoso + granos) salteados con verdeo, y queso 🧀

Home made #chhole , punjabi style.

Usually when people talk about making chhole (chickpeas) people tend to get over whelmed for some reason. Chickpeas are a great source of protein and this recipe uses just one table spoon of oil (gasp) and no cream or unhealthy stuff but still tastes divine.

The recipe is damn simple. 
Ingredients:

1 big coffee cup filled with chickpeas and soaked for 8 hours
2 medium tomatoes diced finely
2 medium onions diced finely
1 slit green chilli
1 big elaichi
2 - 3 pieces of laung
1 small piece of cinnamon
2 table spoons of Everest chhole masala
3 table spoons of Maggi imli chutney 
Salt as per taste
Quarter tea spoon of turmeric
Quarter tea spoon of red chilli powder
1.5 table spoon of ginger garlic paste
One tea spoon of coriander powder
1 heaped teaspoon of cumin seeds
A handful of chopped coriander leaves

Recipe:

Add water to a pressure cooker

Once the water is warm add everything apart from imli chutney and cumin and coriander leaves!! Let it cool for 30 to 40 minutes till the chickpeas are soft and can be mashed....Yum..... Now add the imli chutney ... Taste the chick peas for salt/ginger garlic etc....yuuuuuummm... Home made #chhole , punjabi style.

Usually when people talk about making chhole (chickpeas) people tend to get over whelmed for some reason. Chickpeas are a great source of protein and this recipe uses just one table spoon of oil (gasp) and no cream or unhealthy stuff but still tastes divine.

The recipe is damn simple.
Ingredients:

1 big coffee cup filled with chickpeas and soaked for 8 hours
2 medium tomatoes diced finely
2 medium onions diced finely
1 slit green chilli
1 big elaichi
2 - 3 pieces of laung
1 small piece of cinnamon
2 table spoons of Everest chhole masala
3 table spoons of Maggi imli chutney
Salt as per taste
Quarter tea spoon of turmeric
Quarter tea spoon of red chilli powder
1.5 table spoon of ginger garlic paste
One tea spoon of coriander powder
1 heaped teaspoon of cumin seeds
A handful of chopped coriander leaves

Recipe:

Add water to a pressure cooker

Once the water is warm add everything apart from imli chutney and cumin and coriander leaves!! Let it cool for 30 to 40 minutes till the chickpeas are soft and can be mashed....Yum..... Now add the imli chutney ... Taste the chick peas for salt/ginger garlic etc....yuuuuuummm... I made a simple veggie pasta as Cara is a pescatarian and I didn’t want to start messing about with fish when I didn’t really know what I was making lol

My pasta sauce was made by frying some courgette, orange pepper, cherry tomatoes, green parts of spring onions and a sliced green chilli in some garlic infused olive oil. After a couple minutes I added two tins of chopped tomatoes, a little more garlic infused olive oil, some balsamic vinegar and some tomato purée. I added LOADS of spinach here as well. For seasoning I used dried basil, oregano, asafoetida, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and cracked black pepper. I let this simmer for 10-15 mins and then added loads of torn fresh basil and a little sugar as I accidentally chucked half the balsamic vinegar in 😬

@neil.patience and Cara had normal spaghetti and I had gluten free spaghetti. To serve we had a spinach/rocket mix and grated veggie Parmesan! All portions were bloody hefty but needed, marathon fuel 💪🏻

1/4 cup uncooked quinoa
2/3 cup water
1 15 oz can black beans rinsed and drained
3 oz tomato paste
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Burger buns and toppings of choice
Steps:
In a small pot, cook the quinoa with water and add salt to taste. Bring a boil, cover and simmer for 14 minutes. Uncover and fluff with a fork.
In a large bowl, add the rinsed black beans and mash the bean fully with a fork or potato masher. Add the cooked quinoa to the black beans, then add the tomato paste, all the seasoning and the breadcrumbs. Form four patties.
Heat olive oil in a grill pan, place the quinoa burgers in the pan and fry over medium heat for about 4 minutes per side.
Build a burger with your favorite buns and toppings.

Idea para aprovechar: cuando te queda un poco de ensalada de zanahoria y remolacha puedes preparar un pure de aguacate con ajo, untar una tostada ( esta es #lepaindesfleurs de trigo sarraceno) + resto de nsalada + germinados, estas son semillas de mostaza germinadas caseras. La verdad es que está muy rico y nutritivo!🇪🇸/🇫🇷 Idée pour ne pas #gaspiller : quand vous avez un reste de salade de carottes et de betteraves, vous pouvez mixer un avocat avec de l'ail, tartiner de pain grillé (c'est du sarrasin #lepaindesfleurs) + reste de salade + pousses, ce sont des graines de moutarde germées maison . BUBUR KAMPIUN

Bahan 1 (Biji Salak) : 
300 gr ubi orange (dikukus)
100 gr tepung sagu

Bahan kuah : 
250 gr gula merah 
100 gr gula pasir 
2 lembar daun pandan 
1000 ml air 
Bahan 2 (bubur sumsum) 
100 gr tepung beras
500 ml santan 
2-3 tetes pasta pandan 
3 sdm gula pasir 
1/2 sdt garam 
Bahan 3 (mutiara) 
100 gr mutiara 
2 sdm gula pasir
1000ml air 
Bahan 4 (ketan Hitam)
100 gr ketan hitam 
3 sdm gula pasir 
1/2 sdt garam

Bahan 5 (Kuah Santan) 
600 ml santan 
150 gr gula pasir 
1 sdt garam 
1 helai pandan 
2 sdm tepung beras 
Bahan 6 (pisang)
5 pisang kepok (dikukus)

Cara Membuat : 
1. Bahan 1 : kukus ubi sampai empuk (kurlep 20 menit) haluskan .
Campur dengan tapioka ,sampai tercampur rata dengan ubii 
Bentuk bulat-bulat , Lakukan sampai habis.
2. Rebus kuah biji salak 
Gula merah,Gula pasir , pandan Dan air masak api kecil aduk-aduk setelah mendidih masukan biji salak yg Sudah dibentuk .
Tunggu sampai semua biji salak terapung - matikan ~ Sisihkan 
3. Masak Bahan 2 (Bubur Sumsum) 
Aduk rata tepung beras, santan, pasta pandan, pandan masak dengan api kecil aduk-aduk agar ga gosong sampai menyusut - matikan api. 
4. Masak bahan 3 (mutiara) 
Rebus mutiara kurleb (20 menit) sampai permukaan mutiara tidak ada putihnya 
5. Bahan 4 (ketan hitam)
Cuci bersih ketan hitam - diamkan 1jam . 
Lalu rebus seperti masak nasi campurkan gula+ garam , setelah menyusut kukus selama 40 menit. Biarkan dingin
6. Bahan 5. (santan)
Rebus semua bahan dengan api kecil sampai mendidih, sisihkan 
7. Bahan 6 ( pisang)
Kukus pisang kepok selama 20 menit, kupas lalu potong2 .

2 pounds assorted potatoes (purple, red, Yukon Gold and/or a combination)
1 cup green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons plain nonfat Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon spicy mustard
1 teaspoon salt

1. Prepare Pickled Red Onions. Spiral potatoes with spiral slicing blade. Stand potatoes on end and cut in half into half-moon slices. 
2. Bring large saucepan of water to a boil. Add potatoes; cook 4 minutes. Add green beans; cook 2 minutes or until vegetables are fork tender. Drain
and transfer to large bowl. Stir in onions. 
3. Stir yogurt, vinegar, oil, mustard and salt in large bowl until smooth and well blended. Pour over vegetables; stir gently to coat. Cover and
refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to develop before serving.

Pickled Red Onions: Spiral 1 small red onion with fine spiral blade; cut into desired lengths. Measure ½ cup. Combine onion, ¼ cup white wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons water, sugar and salt.

CHOC PEANUT-BUTTER SQUARES

1 cup natural peanut butter
5 medjool dates, pitted
1/4 tsp sea salt
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
1/2 cup choc peanut butter smoothie blend
1/2 cup puffed rice
1/2 cup hemp seeds
1/2 coconut flakes
1/4 cup coconut milk
180 g vegan dark chocolate chips
1 tsp sea salt flakes

1. Line a 26 cm × 18 cm baking dish with baking paper. 
2. Place the peanut butter, dates, salt, coconut oil and protein powder in a blender and blend until smooth. 
3. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and fold through the puffed rice, hemp seeds, coconut flakes and coconut milk. Spread the mixture into the prepared dish and flatten with a spatula. 
4. Melt the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring until melted and smooth (don’t let the bowl touch the water or the chocolate will seize). If the chocolate chips are struggling to melt, stir through 1–2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Spread the melted chocolate over the slice and 1 tbsp of runny peanut butter, swirl with spatula.
5. Place in the freezer for 1–2 hours to set, then slice into 12-16 slabs, sprinkle with salt flakes. 
6. The slice will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

It’s okay to want more, to reach into what could be your greatness and share that with the world, even if you’re scared sh***less that you might fail. .

For anyone who’s starting on a new journey doing something they love I wanted to share this.

Some will be behind you and others won’t. These might be the people you expect most to support you 🙈That’s okay though. Share your light and focus on that. Focus on YOUR passion and love for what you are doing. Don’t feel you have to play small to please others.

Sháníte recept na rychlý oběd nebo večeři? Něco jednoduchého, díky čemuž nebudete muset celý den strávit u plotny? V tom případě určitě vyzkoušejte tyto celozrnné tortilly. 🌯
Recept umožňuje spoustu kreativity, co se týče náplně. Jsou zdravé a jejich příprava je až příliš snadná a časově nenáročná. Navíc se už z pohledu na tak barevný talíř sbíhají sliny. 😉

CELOZRNNÉ TORTILLY (6 kusů):
2 hrnky celozrnné žitné mouky 
2 lžíce olivového oleje + 1 lžíce na smažení tofu
1/2 lžičky soli 
1/2 až 1 hrnek vlažné vody 
2 předvařené červené řepy 
3 hrsti polníčku 
Citronová šťáva z půlky citronu
Tofu
Špetka soli a pepře 
Provensálské koření 
Zelenina na servírování 
1. Mouku smícháme v míse s olivovým olejem a solí a postupně přidáváme vodu, dokud nám nevznikne tvarné těsto.
2. Těsto rozdělíme na 6 stejně velkých částí, ze kterých vyválíme placky.
3. Placky opečeme na suché pánvi s nepřilnavým povrchem z obou stran.

CELOZRNNÉ TORTILLY (6 kusů):
2 hrnky celozrnné žitné mouky
2 lžíce olivového oleje + 1 lžíce na smažení tofu
1/2 lžičky soli
1/2 až 1 hrnek vlažné vody
2 předvařené červené řepy
3 hrsti polníčku
Citronová šťáva z půlky citronu
Tofu
Špetka soli a pepře
Provensálské koření
Zelenina na servírování
1. Mouku smícháme v míse s olivovým olejem a solí a postupně přidáváme vodu, dokud nám nevznikne tvarné těsto.
2. Těsto rozdělíme na 6 stejně velkých částí, ze kterých vyválíme placky.
3. Placky opečeme na suché pánvi s nepřilnavým povrchem z obou stran.

You'll need:

3 egg whites
165g caster sugar, plus 2tbsp for the rhubarb
½ vanilla pod
200g rhubarb
150g double cream
100g vanilla custard (optional)*
A little chunk of fresh ginger, optional *If you don’t have or fancy the custard element, just use extra whipped cream instead. Add the seeds from ½ vanilla pod to amplify the vanilla aspect.

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 170oC/Gas 3.

2. In a glass or metal bowl, whip the egg whites till stiff and glossy using a handmixer.

3. Scrape the vanilla seeds into the sugar. Whip the vanilla sugar into the whites, little by little till fully mixed. It should be glossy and hold its shape.

4. Spoon onto a baking paper-lined tray. Swirl the mix into a circular shape with an indent in the centre.

5. Place in oven. Lower heat to 120oC/Gas ½. Cook for 1 hr. Turn oven off. Leave meringue inside till cool.

6. Place 2 tbsp sugar in a saucepan with the empty vanilla pod. Add 4 tbsp warm water. Stir till the sugar is dissolved. Fold in rhubarb. Cook till it's just tender. Cool.

7. Whip the cream till thick and silky. Slowly whip in the vanilla custard.

8. Spoon the custard cream in the centre of the meringue. Leave a good edge of it uncovered as the rhubarb will push it further to the sides. Spoon the rhubarb on top; don’t add too much syrup.

9. Finish with a few whispers of fresh ginger.

1 ripe banana
1/2 of a large mango, peeled and chopped (1/2 cup frozen chunks)
1/2 cup blackberries (or any berry)
1 scoop Whole Earth & Sea 100% Fermented Organic Protein & Greens (tropical)

Top Ingredients:
1/2 cup kombucha (sub kefir or yogurt) (could blend in fruit)
.
1. Toss all bottom layer ingredients a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into desired molds and freeze until set (approx. 1 to 1.5 hour).
3. Remove from freezer and top with kombucha or plain yogurt mixture. Freeze again until the top layer is set (approx. 1 to 1.5 hour).

3. Remove from freezer and top with kombucha or plain yogurt mixture. Freeze again until the top layer is set (approx. 1 to 1.5 hour).

Happy Friday!! A simple but tasty dinner with the family. My dad prepared an Asian style Stir-Fry with Tofu, Carrots, Button and Black Fungus Mushrooms and Onions. Also mixed beans fried up with garlic. And of course always served with rice😃

I’ve got you. I’ve got you with this 💯 guac recipe. ⠀

Grac is super easy to make. It takes like 5 minutes. The colour is so vibrant 🌈 and tastes 👅 way better than store bought. ⠀

Ingredients:⠀
➕ 1 ripe avocado 🥑, peeled and safely de-seeded. ⠀
➕ 1 lemon 🍋 or lime, juiced. ⠀
➕ 1 Birdseye chilli 🌶, finely diced. ⠀
➕ 2 thin slices of red onion, finely diced. ⠀
⠀
How to mix it all together:⠀
➕ Put it in a bowl 🥣 and stir. ⠀
⠀
Notes:⠀
➿ Omit the chilli 🌶 if you don’t like it SPICY. I’m looking at you @idealnutrition1 and @theplantpotential. ⠀
⠀
➿ If you do go with the chilli, do not rub your eyes 👀. Wash 🧼 your hands 🖐 100 times before you touch any part of your face. Even then, that’s probably not enough. Wash 1000 more times. 🥵 😭. ⠀

➿ Mix 🥄 the ingredients together for as long as you like to achieve the consistency that you want. I prefer mine to be smoother, so I really smash that avo to break up the chunks. ⠀

➿ I like to add in half the lime 🍋 first to check the tang levels. Sometimes it only needs half the lime, but in this instance (and the other days I’ve made the guac this week) I’ve needed the whole lime. ⠀

➿ If you’re someone who likes cocktails 🍸 🍹and you have a muddling stick at home, use it to smash the avo. It works so much better than a regular fork or spoon. While you’re at it, you might as well make some cocktails to impress your friends even further. ⠀

➿ Some people add in finely chopped tomato 🍅 into their guac. Personally, I find it makes the guac too wet. I could try deseeding the tomato 🍅, but ain’t nobody got time for that. ⠀

Pronašla sam u škrinji 5 kg trešanja od prošle godine!! Zaboravljene!! Pojma nemam kako mi se to dogodilo... I trebalo je to nekako odmah riješiti. Odledim, odvojim od koštice i stavim kuhati. Dodam limun i med. Ma predobro. Da li je to marmelada, đem, kaša... svejedno. Cijeli tjedan kombiniram i doručak i večeru. Malo samljevenog lana i chia sjemenki osnovni mi je dodatak, upotpuni okus. A onda, jagode, badem ili lješnjaci, grčki jogurt...
