!!TW for rant and sensitive topics below!!
I am anti abortion and pro choice. .
Yes, you CAN be both. We need to stop deviding intersectional issues into black and white boxes.
Just because I hope abortions become a rarity, doesn't mean I dont fully support AFAB peoples right to their bodies and THEIR pregnancies.
If youre "pro life" then what are you doing to improve the state of living this parent and child now have to go through. What are you doing to support the person who couldn't affort to have this child, what are doing for the child left up for adoption, what are doing for the family who lost a parent and sibling because the parent was pressured into not getting a life saving abortion. "But it wasnt my mistake!!" Then it wasnt your place to decide how to fix it.
Please ACTUALLY do some research on late term abortions, the medical history, the statistics behind abortion and what ACTUALLY funds abortion before you claim a stance at all.
If youre "pro life" what are you doing for the life of the scared teen who didnt know enough about their body , the rapist at the party whi didnt even know they were a rapist, the person who didnt have access to proper sexual care.
You arent "pro life" if your main concern isn't the lives of ALL involved, if your concern is endangering and harassing afab people for their choice, rather than offering better care, education, and safer paths for these people.
Making abortions rare doesnt start with harassing the afab people getting Testosterone or a cervical check at a planned parenthood, or screaming at a grieving parent who just had to go through the traumatic experience alone , because it IS often traumatic and terrifying, ESPECIALLY alone.
It starts with beter sex ed, with better birth control options, with actions in communties to create a better fincial situation, with more consent culture and, of course, WITH LETTING PEOPLE HAVE FUCKING AUTONOMY ON THEIR BODIES. |cont. In comments!| #positivevibes #positivity #discourse
