I’m back in Canada, probably for most of the summer, but damn was #india🇮🇳
amazing again. Miss it already and starting to think of when I can return.
There’s no better place to connect to yourself and grow. It’s become like a second home for me.
Absolutely love the culture. The people, ancient teachings and history. The food. The landscape... especially the Himalayas and Ganga. And all the friendly kids who love to talk... especially to foreigners to practice English and take selfies... the kids in the picture stopped me multiple times on my commute by their house on my way back to my accommodations - it started by them asking my name and where I was from and then to asking more and more and more - I loved it and always looked forward to bumping into them.
This was the first long trip I’ve done where I left Canada and it didn’t feel like a drastic shift away from home. When I arrived in India, I felt like I was at home the whole time and I continued to work a bit while away. When I came back to Canada, again, there was only a minor adjustment needed. In the past I would have adjusted myself back to “reality” and to fit in with everything around me. This time, I continued to follow the lifestyle that felt right to me. This was a big difference for me and this is how I’ve always wanted traveling to be.
Can’t wait for my next trip... Peru and Colombia?
