Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! I hope you are spending it with the ones you love the most. 🤗
Today brought up a lot of emotion as I spent it thinking about my Daddo. It was so nice he could experience Huatulco at least once and share one last fishing trip with me.
He taught me so much; hard work, determination, kindness, fairness, how to enjoy life and many lessons I am still trying to learn. Missing you more than ever today Pops.
My Father was taken much too young, he was only 73. It was sudden, unexpected and shocking, happened too soon and broke my heart. I could not help but feel guilty, living in Mexico, so far from him. I thought we would have another 15 to 20 years to enjoy his laugh, and witness how he enjoyed the little things each day. Today I would be listening to his perspective on how the Blue Jays are going to do this year. .
I might have been a bit of a handful for my Daddo at times when I was young man :) A couple of the things that help me deal with him passing so suddenly was that he retired early and I knew he "seized the day", he loved, enjoyed and lived life to the fullest. In the end I know he was proud of me. .
Following my Father's teaching, I too have lived life to the fullest and moving to Mexico was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
