She's known as a strong female lead in @riverdance, cast member of Heartbeat of Home, & she's pretty easy to pick out with her fiery red curls! Meet Amy-Mae Dolan (@amymaedolan)! 😊
On her career!: 👑
"I was very fortunate to place top 4 in all 10 World Championships. This included six 2nd places & WINNING World Championships in 2010! I am very grateful to say I won all major titles throughout my competitive career." __________
On life post-competitions: 📝 "I am a featured writer with the @irishdancingmagazine, writing with the hope to #inspire
as many #dancers
as I can & encourage them to always remember how much happiness dancing brings you which is so much more important than any result." 👈
What she's most proud of: 💃 "I am most proud of performing the lead role with @Riverdance, alongside over 500 dancers for an audience of 82,000 in Croke Park & a television audience. This was for the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland." 🇻🇦🇮🇪
On her favorite moments!:🔮 "One of my favourite experiences as a dancer was The #Riverdancesummerschool,
which I completed in July 2016." She explains. "This is how I eventually became part of the Riverdance team!"
On her dance school! 🏫 "I danced for the World Class @CarsonKennedyid Academy in Belfast. My incredible dancing teachers will never realise how grateful I am to them for everything they have done for me. Our #dancingschool
was amazing. They areminded us results were not the most important thing & encouraged us to enjoy each other’s company & laughter."
Advice for dancers: 🌺 "My advice to all dancers is to do something every single day that puts you outside of your comfort zone, forces you to grow & improve & encourages you to learn! Always surround yourself with #positivepeople.
Always dance for the joy & happiness it brings you. Try not to let results stop you from enjoying the amazing experiences you get to have. Remember to thank those that help you. To improve your dancing #crosstrain, #stretch,
get good #sleep,
eat well, keep hydrated. Ask those you trust for feedback on your dancing. Enjoy every single second as a dancer as we are so very lucky!"
