Half-term madness - so let it begin
I thought this week I share something that actually will help mums to cope with the daily madness. It doesn't matter if you are staying at home or if you away, there will be fun activities that can be done home or away.
5 tips a day, here we go:
1.) spray paint - fill watered down paint in a spray bottle and let them go wild. Perfect art for a hallway or bedroom, depended on how wild they get.
2.) draw a story paper roll - works best with 2 or more children in primary school age or beyond. Start a story by drawing a picture and maybe write one sentence. The next person needs to do the same. The old part needs to be rolled up so only the newest part is visible (toilet role and masking tape are great helpers). At the end of the week read the story together.
3.) grab a book and get some props out. There is nothing nicer than a story that comes to live.
4.) sensory zip bags - fill zip bags with water and colourful pom poms, tape shut and stick to a window. Even older children enjoy sensory bags when they are available and it slows the speed down when it gets hectic. There are thousands of ideas out there, pininterest it.
5.) museum hunt - lot sof museums have hunts available for children. Ask at the entrance if they have something available otherwise grav your phone and take a voice note of what the person at the entrance suggests to find for children.
Creating activities helps to give you peace, at least for a little while. Hang in there lovely.
What are you up to this half-term?
