Coming off vacation and going Super Saiyan God mode on this deadlift PR (260 kg/ 573 lbs). 1 week until I start my 1st 8 week program that I've been creating. Getting ready for a lot of things. Time to buckle down for once and staying focused! .

Chest and triceps hit today.
Did some on the fly changes.

Machine presses for flat and incline bench. Takes so much off the shoulders. Amazing machine!

For floor presses, used this cable chest machine as seen in video.

For the decline I did some scissor flies keeping time under tension. Went for 30 seconds. This hits your inner chest like crazy. 
Then did some cable flies from a shoulder cable machine, coming from down below to across the chest, keeping time under tension. Decided after that video that I would do two second holds for sets of 15 for roughly 30 seconds of TUT.

On the barbell close grip, I supersetted with ten pound plate pinch presses, standing with strict contraction on inner and upper pecs.

👉Keep knees in line with second and third toes. Distribute weight evenly thru feet. Chest up and core tight throughout entire move. ⁣

👉Engage core and keep body upright with gaze forward. Keep front knee in line with second and third toes and at about a 90degree angle. Press thru heel to raise, but don’t forget to use the back leg too!⁣
⁣
3️⃣BICEP CURLS ⁣
👉Don’t swing! Control the movement with a tight core and glutes squeezed then lock in elbows to lift only with your biceps. Relax you neck and shoulders. Just think, ‘Biceps!’⁣
⁣
4️⃣Deadlifts⁣
👉Belly button to spine, straight back, and ‘brace’ core. Keep chin in line with spine too, so watch your gaze! Keep bar as close to center of body as possible (should be rubbing the front of your legs). Squeeze dat booty as you lift! ⁣
**Side note: back injury is very common with these, but if done correctly they will actually help with back pain! ⁣

5️⃣Push-ups ⁣
👉Elbows should be at about a 45degree from body. Squeeze glutes, tuck pelvis and keep your back flat. Don’t shrug your shoulders and keep shoulder vertically lined to your wrists. ⁣

💥 Put your ego aside and start with light weight to dial in FORM! Let’s avoid INJURY. Once it becomes easier by the last few reps, it’s time to step it up on weight! ⁣

Last but not least @stephane_t2 stepped on to the platform for the second time, last time he competed he went 6/9, and we started working together a few weeks after, so it was nice for him to go 9/9 and add over 100kg to his total in 8 months. Stephane finished on a 170 squat, 112.5 bench, and 185 deadlift for a very good total of 467.5 at just 17 years old, and got a wee gold medal for the sub juniors to go with it. 🦍🦍🦍

Difference between a bar with no knurling and a bar with good knurling. Both the same weight but different results. While yes one was off blocks I know myself that if I can lift it off blocks I can lift it off the ground. It goes to show that the quality of equipment can have a factor in your lifts.

Difference between a bar with no knurling and a bar with good knurling. Both the same weight but different results. While yes one was off blocks I know myself that if I can lift it off blocks I can lift it off the ground. It goes to show that the quality of equipment can have a factor in your lifts.

The question I asked myself today... More than once... WHAT IS GOING ON?
Lifting got an added twist on it today thanks to coach @andrehoudet my lungs were on fire from about 2minutes in. But it was awesome to feel that way. Slowly but surely moving better and faster.

Finished the session off with some heavy squats and deads!
