To respected YOGA STUDENTS!
What are the qualifications of a good yoga teacher, guru, mentor or instructor?
This question is commonly asked and discussed, isn’t it? The teachers are simply judged, but…
Have you ever asked yourself first, what are the qualifications to be a good YOGA STUDENT, disciple or shishya? Should the yoga disciples follow also certain standards?
People commonly questioning the fact that yoga teacher earning from teaching yoga. Is that wrong?
The spiritual Vedantic tradition called guru shishya parampara is explaining about both: teacher and the student relations.
The student should respect the teacher, should pay his contribution in the most expansive way, his own TIME and ENERGY to serve to guru every day. The disciple should ensure the wellbeing of the guru, physical as well as material. The student should have a correct manner, gratitude, aspiration, sincerity, respect to the teacher and the environment around. The disciple should grow as a person who can take care of ownself. I don’t want to even mention about the Yamas and Niyamas Who cares? Isn't it?
The Yoga teacher is also a human being and has its own problems, pains, etc. And he/she never tells about them, but always listen to your problems and sorrows. It is not only about your money but exchanging but rather of energies, learning from each other, respect each other time and commitment.
Unless disciple - YOU - will put effort, nothing will change. Maybe you will do split and headstand, but that will be always the only gymnastics. Maybe that is what you want?
MAYBE IT IS TIME TO LOOK INTO YOURSELF: ARE YOU HONEST WITH YOURSELF, YOUR OWN YOGA?
Where it is all going to?
